Nugrahan Sdn. Bhd. is Malaysian based company focusing on the recruitment of Malaysian students for health science programs abroad. This entity was first established as Nugrahan in 1998 - a partnership company owned by Mr. Suresh Kumar Chinnan and Mrs. Pathmavathy Nadaraju. In 2001, due to the imminent expansion of the company, Nugrahan matured into Nugrahan Sdn. Bhd. – a private company. Currently, the office is situated at Suite B-5-15A, 5th Floor, Block B, Megan Avenue 2, 12, Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, 50450 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Nugrahan Sdn Bhd also holds the distinction as one of the largest student recruitment agencies in Malaysia. Ever since our inception, we have placed more than 750 qualified Malaysian students in the Medical, Dentistry and Pharmacy Faculties of our partner Universities. We have also placed Indonesian students in our partner Universities in other countries.
In an Agency business like ours, the most important asset is a sterling reputation. Nugrahan has indeed carved a good reputation in Malaysia and Indonesia for our student placement services. For the year 2005 almost 45% of the total number of students placed in foreign Universities approached Nugrahan based on good word of mouth from other parties who have dealt with us previously.
The success of Nugrahan Sdn Bhd was exemplified when we moved to our own premises in the month of February 2006. Our new office has its own library for our students, a 30 seater seminar room with audio-visual aid, a conference room and comfortable environment for students. We are proud to note that our new premise is located within the Malaysian Golden Triangle - a stone throw away from the world famous Petronas Twin Towers.
SUMMARY As a rapidly developing country, Malaysia has set her target to attain the status of a developed nation by the year 2020. In line with this, the Government realizes a country’s most valuable resources are her people. Therefore, developing a mature and skilled work force has always been the main priority of the government’s national policy. The key to attaining a work force of skilled professionals is through education and this is where Nugrahan Sdn. Bhd. plays an important role.
As Malaysia becomes more developed, her people become more economically independent. One of the main hallmarks of a developed nation is the education of its citizens. There currently exists among parents in Malaysia an insatiable urge to educate their children in various fields of professionalism. Nugrahan Sdn Bhd serves as a tool for these parents to realize their dream.
We are also proud to state that Nugrahan Sdn Bhd has forged a close relationship with some of the Malaysian and Indonesian government bodies. For the year 2005 intake alone, the Malaysian Public Services Department has agreed to sponsor more than 70 students recruited by Nugrahan to read Medicine in Indonesia. This represents about 50 % of the total number of students placed by Nugrahan in foreign Universities.
Despite the stiff competition faced by our competitors, we are proud to note that Nugrahan Sdn Bhd has not lost its pole position in this industry. We have for the past few years, been appointed by the JPA (Public Services Department) and MARA to channel their students to Indonesia. This in itself is a testament to our strength in this field. We have built a company on the basis of honesty, integrity and professionalism. We give paramount importance to services we provide for our students.
